In March, the SHS Boys’ Basketball team competed in the play-off tournament held at the Saint Bonaventure High School gym to complete the winter sports’ season. Following an undefeated regular season, SHS was seeded #1, and our boys won each of their tournament games to be named tournament champions! This win returns our school’s name to the perpetual trophy.
At an April assembly, each of the players will receive individual trophies in celebration of the effort needed to create a 1st place season and tournament win for Sacred Heart School. Coach Martin Basaldua has been the cornerstone of SHS basketball since his two sons were in the primary grades. As his youngest son completes his junior year at Saint Bonaventure High School, we extend our thanks for his devotion to our sports program. Many young men are better people and exceptional athletes as a result of his coaching. Congratulations to Coach Martin and the players, families, & fans of Sacred Heart School Boys’ Basketball!
