Nate speaks at the start of The Celebration!

It’s not often that I get the chance to even speak in front of a lot of people. So when I do,

I try to make my message useful. I won’t waste your time with the cliche “oh i love this

school so much and they have done so much for me” even though it’s true. What I

wanna get across here is a lesson I learned about obstacles, you will encounter

obstacles EVERYWHERE in life. Whether it’s a crazy neighbor who hates it when you

turn on your dirtbike, or a rude co-worker, or a mean teacher, they’re everywhere. You’ll

find that the path to success is not around the obstacle, rather through it. On the topic of

path to success, it starts slow…and you don’t feel like you’re going anywhere…but with a

little perseverance and endurance one can overcome anything that stands in their way.

And remember, success doesn’t always mean straight A’s or hitting a homerun, success

is defined through your impact on the people around you. I don’t wanna toot my own

horn but i’ll share a story with you…one night I went to dinner with some family and

former coaches and we had a grand ol time, when I got home my mother shared with

me that one of my coaches told her “I wish I had Nate longer because he always

worked so hard”. I was pleased to hear that my coach appreciated my dedication to the

game of baseball, but what I told my mom was “it’s all about the hunger to be better”. In

my mind I was and still am not successful, one must always hunger to improve upon

themselves constantly. The three years I spent in middle school I really felt the effects of

obstacles in life. My parents educated me on how they never go away and they stick

with you like gum stuck to your shoe, when you finally get rid of it, you’ll find another one

just around the corner. While they can be obnoxious and destroy your motivation, I

believe God puts obstacles in our life for a reason… to teach a lesson or to move you

into your next step in life, so class of 2021, and everyone out there…I encourage you to

go fourth and push through all the obstacles in life. Thank you and have a fantastic day.

Livia and Audri Rose speak at the close of the Graduation Celebration

Staff, Family, Friends and Students as our graduation comes to
an end, we want to take this time to reminisce on some memories and
thank the people who made these memories possible. This year this
class has shared the unique experience of learning from home from
8:15 to 3 o’clock, 5 days a week. We logged into our classes and tried
our hardest to manage stress, frustration, uncertainty, and all of our
schoolwork…and then finally we were able to come to campus, reunite
and finish our year together.
This year so many memories were created. I’ll never forget all
the laughs and jokes our class has shared. We’ve had some
differences but as a whole we made this year happen! We didn’t do
this alone though. It took so many people to get us here so thank you
Mrs. P for encouraging us to run laps and let out our energy. Thank
you Mr. H for helping us understand music and allowing us to sing our
hearts out. Thank you to the intermediate and primary grade teachers
for helping out in families, around the campus and for teaching us
important lessons. Mrs. Benner and the office staff, thank you all for
guiding us to make the right decisions and for helping us when we
were hurt. Thank you Mr. Luis, Ms. Jordan and Ms. Cafarelli for putting
up with our crazy questions and personalities.
Middle school teachers; so much gratitude for you three, for
pushing us to do our best and for keeping us on the right path. Mrs.
Clemmensen we thank you for checking up on our mental health and
guiding us spiritually. Mrs. Gaither, we appreciate you because you
helped us improve our writing skills and taught us how to retain all the
knowledge we have accumulated. Thank you very much Mrs. Manning
for sticking with us until we understood each lesson. You made this
year memorable with your fun labs and humorous personality. You are
one of very few who could put smiles on our faces even at the
toughest times. And very importantly thank you parents, guardians
and family. You guys have been here since day one and always stuck
around. We acknowledge all the sacrifices you make for us and are
truly grateful. It is a blessing to have all of your love and support,
without you, we would not be who we are today and for this you will
always be in our minds, hearts and prayers.
Class of 2021 we’ve shared so many memories but it is time to
branch off and make some more. We have so many more life
experiences ahead of us but for now, class of 2021….. WE DID IT!
