Second Grade Families-
Last week the students received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they did so well. We continue our preparation for First Communion. This week we are very busy getting our Palmisano writing completed, beginning our new unit in math & new math groups, and getting our experiment for our science fair ready to go by next week. Lots to do!!!!

A PEEK at our ACADEMIC WEEK
Religion: Stations of the cross on Wednesday at 2:00 and what can we find on the altar (ambo, tabernacle, altar, candles)
Language Arts
Reading: We continue text features.
Spelling: Students have their new words in their planners. They will take their spelling test on Friday. A reminder that some students remain in the same spelling sort in order to master the pattern.
Grammar: Plurals, past tense and irregular verbs Review: adjectives, nouns, and verbs
Writing: Palmisano Writing
Math: We are learning about arrays, subtracting two digit numbers without regrouping, word problems.
Science: Science Fair Experiment…It’s all about plants!
