Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: This week in math we will continue working with decimals. We are now going to become familiar with decimals up to the thousandths place! Then, later in the week, we will begin reviewing for our munit test. Our math test is scheduled for this Friday.
reading: In our mystery reading, we will begin to apply the comprehension work we’ve done to all types of fiction books! This helps us connect to the idea that although we learn specific reading skills in mystery genre books, we can apply those same skills to any type of fiction book.
writing: We are wrapping up our informational writing pieces. This week we will fine tune our work and begin to publish!
word work: Word lists can be found in your child’s planner. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: This week we are learning all about Saint Valentine!
social studies: All about President’s Day!
Have an awesome week!
Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
