Homework:
Reading Log: Students should be reading for a total of 100 minutes a week.
Spelling City: Please use spelling city as a resource to practice word sorts. Test will be on Monday.
IXL: P.3 (place value) and M.4 (money)
Saint Report: Yesterday , I sent home the saint your child was assigned in their planner. Please take some time to research the saint. I will be sending home the saint assignment next Monday. It will not be due until October 28th. I will allow time to do the assignment next week as part of their homework so I will adjust homework for next week.
Our Academics This Week:
RELIGION: We will discuss Baptism and ways we belong to God’s Church and how God speaks to us through the Bible. I do have all the baptismal special gifts and pictures you have sent in so your child may share in class. Each day, a child will get an opportunity to share their pictures or gift in class. Please expect their items to stay in the classroom until they get a chance to share.
READING: We continue practicing our reading strategies. Focus on reading in “bigger scoops”.
MATH: We will work on related addition and subtraction facts (Fact Families), time, missing numbers on a hundreds grid and addition and subtraction word problems. We will be wrapping up unit 2 by next Monday. Math test will be on Tuesday.
SCIENCE: Continuing Forces and Motion
SOCIAL STUDIES:
Reminders:
Tuesday and Thursday: P.E.
Wednesday: Picture retakes (please let me know if your child will be retaking their picture).
Thursday: Library Books are due
Friday: Noon Dismissal
We will have a field trip next week on Wednesday. Please return permission slip with the exact amount of 18.00 in cash or check. Please make checks payable to Sacred Heart School.
