Dear Second Grade Families,

This week will be parent teacher conferences. Dismissal for students on December 7th-9th will be at 11:30 a.m. Students will receive their “Progress Reports” on Tuesday. I look forward to our conference this week.

HOMEWORK this week :

CLICK HERE FOR READING LOG: I encourage all students to read extra minutes. I have challenged them to read more than 20 minutes a day.

MATH IXL S.1:Thermometer   and L.6:  Input/Output

LANGUAGE IXL:  BB.1 :  Capiltalization (names of people and pets)

Spelling: Our spelling test will be next week on Thursday due to all our early dismissal times.

Take a Peek at our week:

RELIGION: We will continue discussing Advent. We have our Advent Assembly tomorrow at 2:30.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Reading:  We are working hard in reading tricky words.  We are working on reading beyond the text.  You will receive a handout during your conference.

 

Writing: We will be focusing on lessons on when we use a capital letter when we are writing.

MATH: We will practice using a change and comparison diagram to solve subtraction problems. Practice addition and subtraction to 20 at home.

Reminders:

Tuesday: P.E.

Wednesday:  11:30 dismissal!

Thursday: No P.E. uniform needed for 2nd grade; 11:30 dismissal.  We will not have library this week due to our early dismissal.

Friday: 11:30 a.m. dismissal
