IN THE SECOND GRADE CLASSROOM…

RELIGION: We completed our Religion test today. Our focus continues to be the parts of the Mass.

LANGUAGE ARTS:

READING: We complete our unit on nonfiction on Friday.  Students will be able to show off their expertise on the topic they have been learning the last few weeks.

SPELLING: Spelling test will be on Monday.

MATH: We will begin subtraction with two digit numbers by using 10-blocks.  We will continue working on word problems and using diagrams to help solve problems.

SCIENCE: We will be writing our conclusion of our experiment tomorrow.  The students are excited about sharing their experiment tomorrow night with everyone.

As you may have heard, Mrs. Wipper is in our class every morning for about 40 minutes a day, Monday through Thursday via Skype.    She meets with about 4-6 students a day during reading time.  She spends time with students in groups and at times one on one.  The students and I love having her work with us during reading.  I am requesting that you  send in an extra pair of earbuds to use during this time in class.  We do have the earbuds you sent in the beginning of the year but are stored in the computer lab.  I would like for students to have another set in the classroom so that students can have them ready to go when working with Mrs. Wipper.  Please send in the extra earbuds as soon as possible.
