Week of February 23rd
HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR WEEK…
VOLUNTEERS: I am in need of volunteers for Primary Centers this Friday. Please send me an email if you are available.
HOMEWORK: No reading log or IXL due to our Flat Person Project. Students will only need to do Fluency this week. Don’t forget to study Unit 22 for the spelling test on Thursday.
RELIGION: We will do our Virtus lessons this week. We will also discuss vocabulary words such as absolution, penance, confession, and sacrifices.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Reading: We are beginning our story, Officer Buckle and Gloria. We will focus on monitoring and clarifying.
Spelling: We will work on Unit 22: oo as in moon, oo as in look and ew as in blew. Spelling Test will be on Thursday.
Writing: We will complete our Palmisano writing this week.
MATH: We will complete Unit 5…We will have our math test on Thursday. This week we will work on 5.6-5.8. Please go onto everydaymath.com if you would like to reinforce any math skills I have taught.
Science: We will finish our unit on rocks. This week we will focus on fossils. If you have any fossils to share with our class, please send them in.
Important Dates:
February 27th will be our Primary Center Day! If you are available to volunteer on Friday, please send me an email. 🙂
March 3rd: Flat Project due
March 24th will be our First Reconciliation: You will be getting a letter in next weeks Family Envelope regarding First Reconciliation and First Communion.
