Wednesday: Library books are due. Your child cannot check out books if they are not returned.

HOMEWORK
Reading Glue: Students MUST complete at least 5 reading entries during the week. Students must have a total of 100 minutes. Homework will be considered incomplete if there is less than 100 minutes a week.

HERE’S A QUICK LOOK AT OUR WEEK:
STUDENT OF THE WEEK will begin next week. Names are picked at random, lottery style. The child chosen for the week will bring a letter and a poster home on Thursday to be completed and returned on the following Monday. The second grader is to do the writing and decorating, but you can help with ideas and spelling. If for any reason, your family cannot complete the assignment please send me an email to notify me.
RELIGION: We will be taking our 2nd religion quiz on Wednesday. We will start Chapter 3 this week. Our vocabulary this week will be disciple, union and crucifix.

Grammar: Homophones
Writing: Capitalization, punctuation, identifying complete sentences and creative writing.
MATH: We started working on identifying operations in word problems. We have learned how to skip count on a calculator. We have been working on building fluency on our addition facts. We got started on Chapter 2 last week. Last week, I sent home a math newsletter in your child’s work packet folder.
