Dear Second Grade Families,
Parents day was FABULOUS!!! It was such a blessing seeing the kids work with you while having fun. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. This week we continue celebrating Catholics School’s Week with faculty/staff appreciation day on Tuesday. On Wednesday, your child will have lunch (hamburger) provided by Ms. Benner. It is also a free dress day. We look forward to an exciting week.
A Look at our Week:
HOMEWORK: In celebration of Parent/Teacher and Student Appreciation Day, we will only have fluency this week. I still encourage the students to read for fun so they can add those minutes before our trimester is over.
Don’t forget to study for spelling test on Friday.
RELIGION: Practice the Act of Contrition. We will be focusing on how Jesus Leads Us to His Peace. We continue to examine our conscience by reflecting on the Ten Commandments.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Reading: We will be reviewing strategies this week.
Spelling: Spelling test will be on Friday.
MATH: We will finish our math test on Tuesday. We will begin Unit 5 tomorrow.
SCIENCE: Weathering

2/3: Wednesday: Student Appreciation Day! Lunch will be provided by Ms. Benner for all students. No Homework! (SHH! Don’t tell your child since I will be telling them on Wednesday.)
2/4 Parish Appreciation Day!
2/4 Friday: Full Day!
SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES: Please send me an email if you would like to take some pillow to wash or some cutting to do at home. They are ready to go home to anyone who is interested.
