Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
- math: This week we begin our new math unit on fractions! We will spend these days getting familiar with fractions and working towards naming parts with fractions; 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, etc!
- reading: In our animal research clubs this week, we will work on comparing and contrasting both of our animals by subtopics. We will work to formate notes that support this work as we research.
- writing: As we continue to work on our opinion pieces this week, we will work to incorporate strong ideas to best support our opinions. For example, it is important to consider our audience when writing an opinion piece–who are we working to convince? Keeping this audience in mind as well as putting ourselves in their shoes allows for stronger opinion pieces to come through.
- word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner & on the Kids A-Z app in their kindle. In our small, differentiated groups, we continue with our word study, learning about our spelling patterns and applying them to ALL words, not just the ones on our list! Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
- religion: This week we discuss how God shares the Wondrous Life of Grace with the bible story of Adam & Eve. What can we do in our everyday lives to offer Grace to others?
Have an blessed week! See you on Friday!
