Sneak Peek to our Academic Week-
math: This week we begin Unit 6, geometry! We will learn all about lines, line segments, and rays. Then, we will dive into angles!
reading: We continue with our non-fiction unit, focusing on a different type of non-fiction text…biographies! This week we will begin our biography reports.
writing: This week we will continue to tidy up our informational writing pieces, focusing a lot on our introductions and conclusions. Just as it is important to start your writing in a good way, it is important to end it in a good way, too!
word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.
religion: This week we will begin a new class tradition, where we will take time to reflect on a bible verse every week.. Then, we will begin Chapter 11, discussing how God sent us Jesus.
science: This week we will research the question, “Why do Plants Grow Flowers?”
social studies: All about Martin Luther King Jr!
Have a great week!
Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
