Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
- math: This week we begin unit 2. We will work with fact families, extensions of addition/subtraction facts, and “what’s my rule?” problems.
- reading: This week in reading we will focus heavily on making predictions. Not only do we make predictions that tell main things we think are likely to happen, but we will also include details about HOW those things might happen!
- writing: In our narrative, small moment pieces we will work on our storyteller’s voice, focusing on telling our stories in scenes rather than in summaries.
- word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. This week we will discover our reading patterns and work through as we sort and complete word work activities. Our next spelling test is scheduled for this Friday.
- religion: This week we will learn all about disciples and apostles and how Jesus called them and they followed.
- science: This week we will explore the scientific mystery, why do owls hoo?
Have a wonderful week,
Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
