Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
math: This week we will work through part-part-total diagrams when adding and subtracting. Then, we will work with number stories and we will use different diagrams to help us solve them!
reading: This week in reading we will practice reading with grit, using different strategies that we will use to help us figure out the meaning of tricky words.
writing: This week we will rehearse for writing by learning that writers story-tell and generate alternate leads as ways to rehearse a story.
word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. We have the same words this week as we did last week. Our spelling test is scheduled for this Friday.
religion: This week we discuss how God is powerful and loving, talking about the story of how God saved the Israelites from the Pharaoh’s army.
science: Bat science! We will tune into National Geographic’s live stream with a bat scientist. We will watch the scientist descends deep into caves to research bats, cave microbiology, and the devastating white-nose syndrome.
Have a great week! Happy Halloween!
