Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: This week we begin unit 5! We will begin with reviewing place value up to the millions place.

reading: This week we will continue on with our class read aloud, The Absent Author as we investigate the questions, “What’s the same across all mysteries? How do mystery books usually go?”

writing: This week we begin our new writing unit-opinion! This week we will practice writing speeches/opinion pieces.

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on spelling city.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we begin our Lenten journey. We will discuss the importance of Lent as we begin with Ash Wednesday. On Wednesday, we will have a Lent Liturgy as a school.

social studies: All about Black History Month.
