Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: This week we continue on with unit 5, as we become introduced to decimals! This week we will focus on modeling decimals with base-10 blocks as we work with decimals in the tenths and hundredths place.

reading: This week we will wrap up our mystery unit as we continue to apply all of the work we did in mystery with other fiction stories. We will then solve mysteries that relate character and plot.

writing: In our opinion unit, we will “edit as we go” and use/practice editing strategies as we draft our opinion speeches. Then, we will begin to set goals and develop action plans for those goals!

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on spelling city.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we will work through Chapter 17-Jesus Christ is Lord and King, as we discuss the Ascension.

science: We will finish up our Mystery Science lab from last week!
