Sneak Peek of our Academic Week
math: This week we wrap up our geometry unit! Our math test is scheduled for this Wednesday.
reader’s workshop: We continue being the best researchers we can be in our research groups! Each group is assigned an animal to research. As we do that, we are working hard to organize our reading by subtopics, paying close attention to expert/vocabulary words.
writer’s workshop: This week in our research writing, we are organizing our ideas with a table of contents. As we draft, we want to keep in mind that our books are meant to be unique and different from other non-fiction books written by other authors. In order to do that, we must add our own ideas and make our writing our own.
word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on Kids A-Z. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: This week we will continue to work through our sacrament booklet focusing on The Sacraments of Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick. We will also be attending our student mass on Wednesday.
science: This week is all about weather and climate. We learn how to make predictions about the weather by observing clouds and their changes.
I hope you all have a great week! See you on Thursday!
