Last week fourth graders enjoyed writing Halloween haikus, and we thought you would enjoy reading them. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
A mean evil witch
Ate seven chicken nuggets
Then bounded to bed.
There is a clown there
He has a knife in his hand
He’s coming for me
Halloween candy
Eat it all from dusk till dawn
Oh no? it’s rising
Did you know that the
First jack-o-lanterns were made
From turnips? Hee hee!
I like Halloween
Trick or treating is so cool
Dressing up is fun
One dark scary night
It was Halloween and then
I heard a weird noise
Candy is my thing
But I don’t share it
Someone’s hand is out
Of their grave going to kill
You with a sharp knife
Happy Halloween
Pillowcases full of sweets
Candy oh so sweet
You say trick or treat
I say smell my feet give me
Something good to eat
A skinny black cat
Sits on top of a wall
On Halloween night
Vampires in the night
Oh look what a fright. Boo hoo
Good luck you need it
Robot creeps in there
He wants to eat you there now
He will not sleep there
Black cats on the wall
They are eating mice: Ew! Yuck!
Oh, they are creepy
All the time I want candy
Candy is so sweet.
Halloween is fun
I go trick or treating tonight
I eat lots of sweets
Halloween coming
I see some bloodied vampires
Better not get bit
t
Witch brews candy, too
Love to eat, love to drink. Oh
So scary. Trick treat
Princesses, pirates
And zombies to trick or treat
Happy Halloween
I saw a statue
Then it talked all by itself
Now I cannot sleep
Don’t like evil ghosts
They scare me so much at home
As I see a ghost
The doll is coming
The doll is coming to eat
It has a sharp knife
