Our week in 4thgrade…
Math: We are working on Unit 5. We will look at different methods for multiplication. At the end of last week, we learned about the partial products method and this week we work towards the lattice method of multiplication!
ELA:
-Reading: Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes! We are back to our RRJs this week. We continue to work from our second reading unit – nonfiction
-Writing: We are working from our second unit in writing – Personal Essays
-Spelling: We will have spelling this week! Please see your students daily planner for their words!
Social Studies:We are continuing to work through chapter 3 – Missions and Mexican Rule! We will begin our second lesson this week and also begin to discuss our mission projects.
Science:We will be working once more in our Science books. We will begin Chapter 3.
Religion:We are wrapping up our third unit and our thirteenth chapter this week. We will have a test on Friday.
Homework:
Monday: IXL Math Skill D.34 – RRJ
Tuesday: IXL Math Skill D.29 – RRJ
Wednesday: No Math HW – RRJ
Thursday: SMJ p. 125 (posted on Edmodo by 9am Friday morning) – Nightly reading
