Hi 4th Grade Families! Very exciting week with the long-awaited In-N-Out day happening on Friday 🙂
Important Dates:
- Wednesday, May 10: FREE Free Dress for all students
- Wednesday, May 10: Spring Pictures
- Friday, May 12: In-N-Out Day & Ice cream (2pm Dismissal)
- Monday, May 15: $1 or more Free Dress: Sports Day theme
Homework:
- IXL Math:Â (Please encourage students to attempt the skills and to do their best, 100% is not necessary)
- R.12 & Q.6
- 20-30 minutes of reading, 5 times a week – 5 Reading Responses (Tuesday-Tuesday)
- This week for their journal responses, students can read nonfiction or fiction books. Please have them use the menus as their guide.
Our Week:
- Math: We review fractions and take our test this week.
- Reading: Students continue work on their shoebox museums to represent “artifacts” from The Island of the Blue Dolphins.
- Writing: Students work on adding citations and highlighting vocabulary words within their informational reports.
- Religion: We study the 5th commandment, “Thou shall not kill.”
- Social Studies: Gold Rush studies continue, along with some tunes to aide the process!
- Science: Students study more of about what energy is through building their rollercoaster models.
