We are happy to announce that Mrs Mary Dwyer returns to Sacred Heart School to teach fourth grade! Mrs Dwyer is a teacher of exceptional talent and dedication, and after several years of traveling with her husband for business, she and her husband return to their home in Ventura. Mrs. Dwyer taught 5-8th grade students at Sacred Heart School until she left in October of 2011. Mrs. Manning left her then first grade class to take over Mrs. Dwyer’s Middle School classes, and Miss Manning became our first grade teacher. These fourth grade students were first graders when Mrs. Dwyer left for Brazil, and it seems fitting that she returns to work with them in fourth grade. She will spend the next few days observing and preparing and will start with her class on Tuesday, September 2.

Education at Sacred Heart School is centered in Christ and is concerned with the development of the whole child. We are committed to helping students grow in trust and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as well as to helping them grow in the spirit of prayer, service and leadership in the Christian community. Sacred Heart School cooperates with and assists the parents or legal guardians, who are the primary educators of their children. Along with teaching Catholic dogma, doctrine, and morals, Sacred Heart School maintains a strong, innovative curriculum. It is our goal to promote a school atmosphere that is enlivened by Gospel values, intellectual proficiency, and self-esteem.
