Dear Families,

This Friday is our Saints Parade.  We will begin with our whole school Mass.  Please feel free to join us. This Friday is also a noon dismissal.

Next Tuesday, November 9th we will be taking our first field trip to the Santa Barbara Museum.  Permission slips will be sent home.

I am now posting my weekly letter on the school website.

Please check your child’s homework and planner every night.  It is very important that your students remember to return their homework to school.   Please encourage your child to complete three Accelerated Math packets a week.  The third one is extra credit. Students should be reading every night for twenty minutes.

Below is an overview of our week.

Religion:  We will be focusing on Baptism.

Math:   We will begin Chapter 3, which is all about multiplication.

Science:  We will begin Chapter 3, which is the study of the human body.

Social Studies:  This week our focus is on the Maya and Aztec Indians.

English: This week we will begin our review of unit 5, which is on grammar.

Voc:  Unit 4 will be our focus this week. Since Friday is our Saints Parade we will be having our unit 4 test next Monday (November 8th).

Spelling:  This week our spelling words are from unit 9.

Reading:  We will continue with our novel, The Indian in the Cupboard.

Literature: Our next story that we will read is “The Circuit.”  The students really enjoyed our last story,” Sister.”
