Dear Kindergarten Parents and Families,
Wednesday is our field trip to the Channel Islands Museum! The forecast is for cool, cloudy skies and slightly cooler at the beach. Please have your child wear their school jacket or sweatshirt and comfortable walking shoes.
Wednesday is also a free dress for Philippine Typhoon Relief. I want to encourage all families to support this cause by bringing in $1.00 or two dollars.
Since we will be away from school for a large part of the day…I would like all students to modify the free dress and (as close as possible) wear red or blue color shirts or tops, long pants, with a school jacket or sweatshirt. For our young ladies, please no dresses or boots.
This week I am putting up a Christmas tree as a reminder to support the Adopt-A-Family of Archdioceses of Los Angeles because…the day we return from Thanksgiving vacation it will be Monday December 2…..
AND that is “Teddy Bear Day”. If you have older children you know we support this mission yearly. For our new families this is a wonderful event all students take part in. We all bring in a new plush animal for the less fortunate families.
Chapter 8 – religion: your children will learn how precious they are in God’s eyes as well as our own. We will engage in activities to acknowledge self success at school and home.
Our week in academics will follow the usual pattern of center related learning. Much of our week will be social studies/math/ELA lessons related to Thanksgiving Day long ago and how we celebrate today. A science lab on Tuesday – our sense of taste! Library on Thursday. Please return library books to check out an new one.
When returning this week’s homework…please send back the Everyday Math booklet for a sticker. EM Booklet Two will be coming home in next week’s homework.
Friday is Primary Centers and a noon dismissal.

I am thankful for your families,
