Welcome back, and a very Happy New Year to everyone!

What we are working on this week

Religion: We will continue our discussion of the first commandment, and then begin chapter 11, discussing the second commandment.

Math: We continue our work in Unit 4, focusing upon decimals. We will have a test on this unit early next week. This week students need to complete ixL Math skills U 6, U 7 and U 16.

Spelling: We will be working on Unit 16; book pages are due by Friday, and the test will be on Friday.

Grammar: We continue Unit 3, which focuses upon verbs.

Vocabulary: This week we begin our study of Unit 9 words; the test will be next week.

Reading: The reading log will be due next Monday (click here for a copy) reading log characters setting, and Fluency Homework #15 will be due next Monday as well

Social Studies: We will be taking notes as we learn about our individual California missions. We will finish Studies Weekly #10, and have a test on issues 9 and 10 on Friday. I will email a copy of the study sheet in the next day or so; all of the vocabulary words for this quiz can be found on Spelling City.

Science: We are learning about energy and microorganisms in ecosystems.
