Our trip to San Buenaventura Mission and the Ventura County Museum was excellent. Everyone received a free pass to the museum for one student and one adult. It is well worth the visit!

What we are working on this week

Religion: We continue learning about the third commandment.

Math: We continue with Unit 5, which focuses upon multiplication. This week students need to complete ixL Math skills D 29, D 30 and E 17.

Spelling: We will begin working on Unit 19; the test will be next week.

Grammar: We continue Unit 3, which focuses upon verbs and verb tenses.

Vocabulary: We will begin our study of Unit 10 words; test next week.

Reading: The reading log will be due on Monday (click here for a copy) reading log begin middle end and Fluency Homework #18 will be due on Monday.

Social Studies: We continue to take notes for our mission reports (your child may also work on notes at home!). We will have a quiz on issues 11 and 12 of Studies Weekly on Thursday. Click here for the study sheet  studies weekly quiz 11-12 study sheet .

Science: We are turning our focus to Earth Science, starting our study of Chapter 5, which is about rocks and minerals. Students are encouraged to bring their rock “collections” to school if they would like to share them.
