Many thanks to everyone for your support of our annual Jogathon last Friday. Everyone had a great time while raising money for our school!
What we are working on this week:
Religion: We conclude our study of the 10 Commandments, finishing work on our commandment booklets. We will have a test on Unit 4 next week.
Math: We are working on fraction addition and subtraction, comparison and ordering. Students should complete ixL Math skills R 3, R 6 and R7 by next Monday.
Spelling: We will finish our study of Unit 32 words; test will be on Friday.
Grammar: We continue our work with adjectives.
Writing Workshop: We continue writing our opinion essays.
Vocabulary: We will begin our study of Unit 16; the test will be next week.
Reading: The reading log will be due next Monday (click here for a copy) main idea reading log and Fluency Homework #33 will be due next Monday as well.
Social Studies: We continue learning about the establishment of California as the 31st state; we will be reading magazine #20 this week, and will have a test on issues 18-20 next week. Check out spellingcity.com; the list of vocabulary for the test is on the site already!
