The 6th grade class enjoyed a beautiful day at the Getty Villa in Malibu. The gardens were in bloom and the students were able to see many different items from antiquity. They included jewelry, glass bottles, pottery, statues, and bowls. Much of the discussion from the guided lessons focused on mythology. Everyone enjoyed pretending we were visiting an ancient Roman noble from Pompeii in the ornate villa and living a rich and famous lifestyle 2,000 years ago!
