Sneak peek to our academic week:
- math: We continue working hard at our multiplication and division! Our class has had a lot of fun with multiplying and dividing. This week we will continue working with number stories and looking for the key words in the problems that tell us whether we multiply or divide. Arrays and equal groups will still be used this week to solve the multiplication/ division number stories. Keep working on those multiplication facts at home!
- reading: In reading this week we will work to summarize narrative non-fiction text (biographies), by recognizing the important details that contribute to the storyline. We will be using our non-fiction reading skills to begin working on our class project for the school fair.
- writing: As we continue drafting our information writing, we will begin to use student checklists to find and set personal goals for ourselves as writers. “Did I do my best work in every chapter?”
- spelling: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. Spelling tests are scheduled for next Monday.
- religion: This week in religion we will discuss how God keeps promises to us and will explain how God has promised to lead his people of today to heaven.
- science: We continue studying and discussing Organisms of Long Ago and fossils!
Have a wonderful week!
