Lent is a time for us to grow in God’s love. We pray and do good deeds.

During the season of Lent we will be attending the Stations of the Cross. If your schedule permits, join us at 11:00 on Friday, March 22.

Reading and phonics workshop pair up with skills and strategies to sound out simple words, recognize more sight words, use patterns to help read, and continue to use picture cues. We are learning to use asking or telling sentences with the help of question words, and ending marks. Writers workshop finds us writing to make the world a better place.

Everyday Math objectives this week are counting by twos and learning the concept of half. Daily we work on math facts to 10 and simple number stories using addition and subtraction.

Wrapping up the lessons on the 5 senses – this week sense of sight. A new unit on weather and the water cycle as we continue through March.

Reminder: Friday is a full day of school!
