On Friday,September 10th,the students of Sacred Heart School gathered outside to continue the tradition of families.Families is an activity that the students do once a month. The 8th graders are the “parents” of the families, and they lead the activities. There are 17 families, and 1-2 students from each grade in each family.

On that Friday, the students and staff of Sacred Heart gathered outside in the courtyard for the monthly assembly, which is followed by families. When the assembly ended, the students started to get sorted into their families. After everyone had settled, the 8th graders started leading their families outside to the lunch tables. The 8th graders handed out a bingo like worksheet, where you had to ask the people around you if they had done something that was on the sheet, and if they had, they had to write their name.”Families was fun,and I liked the worksheet you gave us.”-said Cruz Prado,a 4th grader.

After everyone finished the worksheet, they played a game, like heads up 7 up,to pass the time until families ended. After families ended, everyone went back to their classes, and packed up to go home for the day.
