Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: This week we continue on with measurement. We continue to work with area and perimeter as well as practice distinguishing the two. This week we will discover how area is VERY related to multiplication. By multiplying the long and short side of a shape you can find the area!
reading: We will continue on with our mystery unit! This week we will work to do a special kind of predicting by using our reading skills to predict suspects, opportunities, and motives. We will also practice referring back to our books and its details to make these predictions!
writing: We continue with our information writing. This week we will work to add introductions and conclusions to our informational books!
word work: Word lists can be found in your child’s planner. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: This week we will discuss how God created people to share His life. We will discuss how we can appreciate the gift of life! Our Chapter 10 quiz is scheduled for this Friday.
science: In science this week we will learn about how living in groups helps many animals survive; including wolves, meerkats, ravens, and ants!
