The 8th grade has plans to make Halloween, Monday, October 31 a special day!

They continue the tradition of Halloween tattoos.

They ask $1 for each tattoo and all money raised is donated to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Adopt-a-Family program.

The program assists families in need providing necessities during the holiday season that include “a two-week supply of food, together with gifts of clothing, personal and household items, and toys amongst other surprises,” says Reverend Monsignor Terrance Fleming, the Executive Director of this important program.  With the funds raised, we send Target, Smart & Final, and Vons scrip cards to be used to purchase items or to be included in the boxes delivered to families on December 17.

Students are encouraged to purchase as many tattoos as they would like, and each student may wear one or two Halloween-themed tattoos on their hands or arms that are applied by our 8th grade students on Halloween Monday.  When purchasing more than two, the additional tattoos are placed in an envelope and delivered at the end of the school day.

Money to purchase the tattoos may be brought to the classroom teacher during the weeks before Halloween and may be brought to school in the morning of Halloween Day too.

Happy Halloween!
