Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a peaceful break. It was nice seeing everyone back at school. This Friday is a 2pm dismissal. Monday, April 24th is a free dress day with a donation for those in need in Turkey and Syria. Below please see an overview of our week:

Religion: We are learning about the significance of the Ascension of Jesus.

Math: We will continue practicing adding and subtracting mixed numbers.

Science: Brightness of the Sun compared to other stars is due to the distance from Earth.

Social Studies: Our focus this week is the reasons for the Stamp Act and the forming of the Committees of Correspondence. Next Friday will have a states test.

ELA: We continue reading our novel Fever. I am introducing the concept of Persuasive Writing. We are working on Unit 15 in vocabulary.
