Hello Kindergarten Families!

As we read in our Children’s Bible learning about Moses has been intriguing and a favorite! From a baby floating in a basket, the plagues, parting of the Red Sea and now we focus on Mount Sinai and the Ten Commandments.

We are counting our blessings, following rules, and continue to learn about our Saints!

Friday is a noon dismissal. Monday being Veterans Day have we 3 day weekend ahead.

Math finds us measuring with non-standard units; also adding to 10. Language Arts – sounds and segmenting words, rhymes, sentences, reading decodable and sight word booklets. We will spend time reading about Veterans Day. We are working hard and it shows!

Now that the end of first trimester is coming near, we are earning points for most of our papers. I am encouraging best effort. Looking at printing of their name, words, sentences, coloring carefully and answering questions earns 5/5. This goes for homework, too! Help your child to their best.

Homework

Please read nightly, it is so important to your child’s development. As you read together, make predictions, reflect story events, note the pictures, and look for sight words, (the, a, in, it, is, and, on, for, of). Do the “Turkey Addition” paper, have your child color at least two turkeys nice and neat! “My Cup of Thankfulness” paper is going to be a door display for all to enjoy on November 15. Please have your child do their very best; write or draw in each marshmallow who/what they are thankful for and color the cup nicely. Homework is due next Tuesday, November 12.
