We have a new Accelerated Math website!  Sacred Heart School is now on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’s website.  The new site, part of Renaissance Learning, will be connected to our school testing for next year.

Instead of participating in the ITBS format, a once a year assessment used for many years in grades 2-8, all students in the Archdiocese will be assessed in Math and English/Language Arts using Renaissance Learning’s STAR Enterprise.  Starting next school year, we will assess at the start of the school year to set a baseline, and then once a trimester to evaluate student progress and performance.

This new testing format connects to the Accelerated Math program used in Middle School and scores from STAR Enterprise will automatically transfer into our Accelerated Math program to place students in appropriate groups.  Since STAR Enterprise and Accelerated Math are connected to The Common Core Standards, assessments will indicate performance and progress to master these standards at appropriate depths of knowledge.

Our middle school students are aware of the changes in the website, their user names & passwords, and the changes for the URL on Kindles and school computers.  Please make note of the new site: https://hosted370.renlearn.com/306665/ to change your bookmarks on home computers and cell phones to reflect the new site.
