The 7th grade just finished studying the interesting ancient cultures in Africa. We learned that salt was more valuable then gold. We also learned about the geography, culture, and the importance of trade. To end the chapter the students made beautiful African masks. The masks were used back then to ward off evil spirits and invite good spirits into their lives. The masks are all hanging in the library.
