Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Everyone had a wonderful  time on Friday with In and Out here!  It was great to see so many families here.  This Wednesday will be a free dress day for a $1.00 donation.  This Friday is a noon dismissal.  Our field trip  permission slips are due this Friday.

Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes.   By Friday every student needs to have completed three Acc math packets.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org. Please make sure that all students have their needed supplies everyday (paper, pencils, binders and flash drives).

Below is an overview of our week.

Math: We will be finishing our work on dividing decimals.

Science :  Chapter 10.  This week our focus is the differences on mixtures and solutions.

Social Studies: We will evaluate the impact of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense.

English: The classroom presentations of our poems will be this week.

Religion: Family Life Series: We will be discussing family ties and family feelings.

Spelling: Unit 24, we are reviewing units 21 and 22.  Our pretest will be Thursday and our  test will be on Friday.

Vocabulary Unit 12.

Literature: House of Dies Drear.
