Dear Families,
This is a very busy week for out fifth grade class. We begin to recite our poems in class on Wednesday and Thursday. This Friday is our Jonathon. Please have your child wear their P.E. uniform. We will also have a noon dismissal on Friday.
Next Monday is our field trip to the Oxnard Performing Arts Center to see “Ellis Island, Coming to America”. Please make sure to return permission slips and bus fare money.
This Wednesday is free dress (for a $1.00 donation).
Below is an overview for our week:
Voc: Unit 14.
Spelling: Unit 26. Our test will be this Thursday.
Math: Our chapter 9 test will be on Wednesday. We will then begin our chapter ten-Geometry.
Social Studies: This week the students have a take home test for chapter 7. We are starting chapter 8.
Science: Chapter 9. The focus this week is on the properties of compounds, acids, bases and salts.
Religion: We will be analyzing the importance of families in society.
Literature: This week we will be reading The House of Dies Drear.
