Dear Fifth Grade Families,
We will be having our school mass on Thursday. After mass we will be Friday is our field trip to the Ojai Storytelling Festival. Students are to wear their school uniforms.
Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes. By Friday every student needs to have completed three Acc math packets. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org. Please make sure that all students have their needed supplies everyday (paper, pencils, binders and flash drives).
Below is an overview of our week.
Math: We will continue with customary measurement and the metric measurement.
Social Studies: We will be analyzing the reasons for the victory of the Continental army. We will have our chapter 8 test next Tuesday May 7th.
English: We will be writing a comparison paper on the differences in the Continental and British army. We will also be writing about the different parts of the Declaration of Independence.
Religion: Family Life Series, We will discussing the importance of families in society.
Spelling: Unit 25
Vocabulary Unit 12. Our test will be next Monday, April 29th. We will then begin Unit 13.
Literature: House of Dies Drear.
