Religion for this week is to review post Easter when Jesus appeared to his disciples. We will be reading from our Children’s Bible and our religion text. Butterflies Are Good is the chapter we will discuss and complete the craft.
ELA focus is mainly on consonants, short and long vowels sounds – sounding out each letter to help be super readers. This week we will polish up our informational writing by adding an introduction to our How to Books. Sentence writing using the correct punctuation; telling, asking and exciting sentences need the correct endings! We will be reading about Mount Rushmore and our United States Flag for Social Studies.
Science lab on Tuesday – sense of taste! On Wednesday a review of the Pygmy Mammoth (hands on) exhibit, tide pool tank, island reliefs, movie, and via video conferencing a look at Anacapa Island with a Ranger showing us around parts of the island. A ranger will also tell us about local ocean animals as well as island animals.
It going to be another great week!
Blessing to your families,
Mrs. Brown
