Dear Fifth Grade Families,
Back to School Night is this Wednesday, August 29th at 6:30. I hope to see everyone on Wednesday night. This Friday is a noon dismissal. We are continuing to do a great job at learning the new routines of fifth grade.

Below is an overview of our week.
Math: Chapter 1. Our focus is problem solving by using exact amounts and estimating.
Science: Introduction to Cells. This Tuesday we will be in the Science Lab learning about the Scientific Method. We will be having a small vocabulary quiz on Thursday. The students know what words will be on the quiz.
Spelling: Unit 28. We will have our spelling test on Friday.
Vocabulary: Unit 1
Social Studies: Chapter 1. We are comparing and contrasting the life ways of the Native Americans during and after the time of the giant mammals.
English: This week we are focusing on study skills.
Religion: We are sharing the different ways we are called to worship.
