Dear Families,

Thank you everyone who came to the Back to School Night.  It was wonderful to meet everyone.  This Friday is a noon dismissal.  In observance of Labor Day school will be closed on September 3rd.   September 5th is Picture Day. Please email me if you have any questions. Below please see an overview of our week.

Religion:  Chapter 1.  We are a Worshiping People.

Math:  To introduce the classification of whole numbers greater than 1 as either prime or composite.

Science:  To get energy, plant and animal cells break down sugar, releasing water and carbon dioxide.

Social Studies:  We are having our first states test on September 5th.  We are analyzing what made the Olmec society a civilization.

Vocabulary: Unit 1

Grammar:  Our focus this week will on abbreviations and titles.

ELA:  Generating Personal Narratives.
