Fifth grade had an amazing time at the Skirball Cultural Center. We explored what immigrants experienced when journeying to America. Students were able to have a “hands on” experience. They were able to explore the challenges and opportunities of immigrants coming to America.

In the Science Lab the students observed water moving in celery. The students placed stalks of celery in colored water. Twenty four hours later the colored water had traveled up the celery!
This month the fifth grade class has been learning about the Order of the Mass. The students are doing a great job. After Mass today we discussed the order and I think it made Mass more meaningful to the students.
