You may notice a ticket attached to your child’s homework packet this week. This “ADMIT 1- FAMILY” was a gift to our class from the Santa Barbara Sea Center. Each child received one and is welcome to take his/her family back up to Santa Barbara in order to share what he/she learned last week. So […]
Dear Third Grade Parents and Families, Our trip to the Sea Center was a hit! The day couldn’t have been any better with the sun shining and no traffic to or from Santa Barbara. Once we got there, the students had a moment to enjoy their snacks on the boardwalk with a stunning view of […]
Dear Third Grade Parents and Families, Since this week marks the end of Trimester 1, I will be offering some extra credit in math to those students who feel they need it. This is optional. Monday we will celebrate All […]
Dear Third Grade Parents and Families, Great news! We now have access to a wonderful website to help with spelling. The website is “spellingcity.com”. I have gone onto the site and have set up a new list for this week and plan to add each week’s words as the year goes on. You just have to […]

Our class was in stitches upon discovering that the Wayside kids were, in fact, not experiencing an earthquake but an invasion of cows! We will be examining “fantasy” as a genre within fiction literature next week.
Along with your child’s Tuesday Work Packet, you will also be receiving the October Scholastic catalog. Should you see something that you’d like to order, Mrs. Salomon has established a Sacred Heart School grade 3 account for us. To order online, go to: www.scholastic.com/bookclubs. Our activation code is GML99. Any “points” accrued will go toward […]
