The 6th grade has been studying Ancient Egypt for several weeks. Using actual pictures painted on papyrus from Egypt the students used handmade paper and gold pens to create pictures of pharaohs, gods, scribes, and other scenes from Ancient Egypt. The pictures came out amazing and beautiful.
The middle school participated in Schoolwide Centers on Friday with the theme of 100 days of school. The sixth grade class worked in groups to design snowflakes using geometric patterns. They used their Kindles for ideas, then designed them on a drawing app. Once ready to build they used different size craft sticks to put the pattern together. Since it was a very cold day in Ventura designing snowflakes seemed appropriate!
