To celebrate Student Appreciation Day the middle school students went outside and drew pictures with sidewalk chalk. The drawings represented interesting events or places in history. We also played Frisbee, basketball, and blew bubbles for a fun afternoon.

The 7th grade is currently studying the Islam religion in history class. After watching a video on a Mecca Pilgrimage the class is putting the factors of Islamic Spain into the 4 Worlds model. This helps us understand a far away and long ago place better.
Today for school wide centers the middle school participated in activities that focused on team work. As the students mingled into mixed grade groups they worked on building a tower out of newspapers, saving a worm, and building infrastructures from pasta shapes. The skills learned were leadership and helping the group achieve their goal.
