The middle school students are getting ready to celebrate the many wonderful benefits of a Catholic school education. The theme of Learn, Lead, Serve, and Succeed is being discussed in religion class. The students are learning how to apply these vital skills to their homes, community, and world.
Part of the annual holiday tradition for the 8th grade classes includes writing children stories for the lower grades that incorporate core Catholic values. The 8th grade class completed saint reports last week. The reports included amazing drawings of their saints. They will also be visiting the classrooms on Tuesday as their saint. Each saint reminds us of how to live each day believing in Jesus and serving our communities with love.
After reading several passages in the bible about guardian angels the students drew a picture of their angel that helps protect them each day. They also wrote a prayer thanking their angel for keeping them safe. Guardian angels are celebrated each year on October 2.
