Every month students and staff prepare for an emergency situation by participating in fire, earthquake, and/or lockdown drills. In a fire drill, we practice exiting the campus to the field. In an earthquake drill, we practice remaining indoors and sometimes exiting to the field in anticipation of a time when one of those choices might be our best option. In a lockdown drill, we practice removing access to all campus buildings and remaining inside the space until we are cleared by authorities.
Wednesday, September 25, we will practice a fire evacuation drill as the alarm sounds at 9:47a and all assemble on the field.
Every month as part of each drill, we will send email notifications to family members alerting them to the start and end of each drill. Please notify the office if you do not receive these emails. In the event of a true emergency, the school will be in contact with families via this email system.
As our practice continues throughout the year, we will move from a scheduled drill to several unannounced drills to better prepare us.
