This week is the third Sunday of Lent and the Gospel shows us the compassion of Jesus as he talks with a Samaritan women. The eighth grade class read the long version of the Gospel and discussed the many messages in the reading. They had great insight on why Jesus revealed himself to this woman and what we need to do to enter eternal life. They also wrote many great ideas on how they can show less self-concern and more compassion for others, especially during this Lenten Season.
