Dear Kindergarten Families,
An exciting week ahead!
- Friday is a free-free dress for Valentine’s Day and a noon dismissal. We will exchange cards with our class friends late morning.
Mid trimester Progress Reports will come home on Tuesday. Please review with your child, sign and return by Tuesday, February 18.
Our academic week:
- Religion – our helping hands are gifts of love- learning from our text how we can help our family and friends as Jesus taught us to love and help others. We will review our SLE A. 4 Make good choices like Jesus.
- Word work – sight words, sentences, letter/sounds, and writing focus will be about President’s Day. Practice sight words at home- we will have a sight word spelling test on list one on Thursday.
- Math finds us using our math books to record information this week. We will practice counting and adding numbers with calculators. A review of measurement with non-standard units to make an approximate measurement of a table and rug,
- Art – painting our birdhouses and adding decorations. We are getting all our art projects ready for the School Fair.
- Social studies – learning about Presidents Washington and Lincoln as well as the seven presidents who lived in log cabins.
Hope everyone will come see our School Fair next Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:15. It’s an Art Show for the Primary grades! Come and see our beautiful work 🙂
Blessings,
Mrs. Brown
